To better understand and reduce those impacts, companies can measure them through a Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) or Lifecycle Evaluation (LCE).
Under Oregon’s Recycling Modernization Act, producers of paper and packaging can earn reduced fees if they evaluate and publicly share their products’ lifecycle impacts, and/or make meaningful improvements in how their products are designed, made, or marketed.
